NYFW: Herve Leger S/S 2012

Herve Leger will always be a staple and every celebutante and it-girl's go to dress for body con, body fit teeny dresses which will make you definitely suffer, scream and deprived of oxygen all for the sake of curves. A personal favorite of mine, the brand showcased an amazing lineup for its S/S 2012 Collection. Aside from the mainstays- bodycon dresses, Herve Leger sent down the runway were combinations of modern tribal African flavor with a bit of tasteful bondage and S&M. Think the canvas fit dress spiced up and embellished with flashy fringe and metallic hardware for a bit of edginess. The outfits were also accessorized with vampy, strappy sandals and the occasional tough-girl motorcycle jacket. Herve Leger’s collection proved that it is possible to improve upon what you’ve already deemed to be perfection – and that it can be a wise gamble to take your chic aesthetic into a bit more of a darker territory, with eye-catching results.

Wore this to a 9-course meal to celebrate my mom's birthday for the nth time again at my favorite restaurant RED in Makati Shangri-la! RED has the best food ever and they were nice enough to customize a special menu for us, given I have a lot of food allergies! I love her birthday... feels like we're celebrating for a month... seriously! I also had a bloggers slumber party at Midas Hotel that day (blogging about that VERY soon) so basically I was hotel hopping that night!

Lagged post from December (Decemblur) and I was quite excited to post this, I did not know what took me so long. I love this Christmas gift to myself dress which, I admit cost an arm and a leg, but was totally worth it...since I think the investment of owning an Herve pc. is priceless! More so, it comes in a gorgeous color which is a cross between yellow and green and quite bright and neon...definitely making me easier to find in a crowd/dark crowded bar. I decided to not be boring by contrasting it with blue for accessories rather than the never failing black. It was Christmas then, and I was feeling a bit more adventurous. Wore this to the modified Kris Kringle party which involved the trade of booze instead of gifts and then to Attica (yet again) for the perfect night cap.

The dress as worn by 90210's Jessica Stroup...I think she ROCKED it!
