The Pink Life.
(Dress: Zoo| Earrings: Forever21| Shoes: Online| Purse: Chanel)

I love pink and I decided to wear it on a rainy Wednesday for a night of food, drinks and fun over at Craft. The dress is a purchase from online store, Zoo Shop, which reminds me a lot of an Alexander Wang pc. I totally loved so I decided to get it for myself. That God I remembered to wear it as I am bound to forget things in my closet--- a lot. Accessorized with the usuals: Studs, boots and a Chanel Purse and was good to go.

Manels Rocks to School: The Darker Side of Black Collection

The Darker Side of Black: Manels Rocks to School

It is again that time of year when we start parting with the bright shades of summer and reach for the classic subtleties of black. Yes, it's that time again when we start shopping for the Back-to-School season! So the hunt begins for the perfect pair of black shoes. While this may be one of your less exciting shopping expeditions, Manels puts together a collection that spices things up and explores the darker side of black.

Manels Leathergoods, the country's pioneer brand in leather, heads into the Back-to-School season with its campaign entitled “Black Rockin' School”. “We want to bring the sexy back into black” says Mark Siggaoat, VP for Operations of Manels. The Manels “Black Rockin' School” collection highlights mid-cut leather boots, rubber-soled oxfords with a sneaker-type finish, and casual loafers for the men. For the ladies, modern mary janes and patent leather finish highlights the collection. “The Black Rockin' School collection has a little bit of something for the rebel in each of us” says Siggaoat. While the brand continues to carry its comfort staples and classic school shoes, the campaign takes a fresh angle into the Back-to-School season by giving style-conscious students a chance to “strut their styles” into the hallways this season.

Leather remains at the core of the brand's collection and campaign. Visibly, the store's look for the season takes its cue from vintage 70's punk rock. “We were inspired by that rugged black leather jacket look from the 70's popularized by The Ramones” says Siggaoat. Manels continues to reinvent itself in staying at the forefront of leather footwear since its inception in 1964.

Sun Protection Factor.

Hat: Zara | Top and Skirt: Glitterati | Shoes: Payless | Purse: Bottega Venetta | Accessories: Cultus Chichi | Sunnies: Mango | Bandeau: La Senza

Beach bound. I’ve been nagging about how much I miss the beach and I finally (finally!) got a beach trip (even for just a day) the other day and I was basically half asleep as I planned this outfit. Not wanting to get dark, I decided to make use of my woven floppy hat as coverage from the harsh rays of the sun. I’ve always been a beach baby…always was, always will be, which is why it is essential I had a sun hat so as not to burn

I was quite lazy to dress up for the beach as we left very very early so I went for the basics. I used a semi sheer coverup as a blouse, tied it around my wait and layered that over a black bandeau. I wore it with a brown maxi skirt, wedged heels and my new cateye Mango sunnies and I was incognito and ready to hit the sun, sand and sea.

I had a great time! And cant wait to max the beach out for whatever is left for summer! More photos of my beach escape at the next post!

Fruit Punch. Orange + Hot Pink.
(Top, Skirt and Shoes: Zara | Necklace: +RUCKUS | Bag: Louis Vuitton)

I love color blocking (well, lots and lots of colors actually) and it is quite evident from my last posts--- where I am almost rarely in black. But the summer season and all its vibrant colors, not to mention the extraordinary heat, is making me want to go all out colorful...and besides, who doesn't love a bit of saturation in their lives right?

For this outfit, I wore my top favorite color blocking colors, Orange + Hot Pink, and I paired the piece the instance I saw it while shopping in Zara. I knew I had to get it as a set as I was so sure I was going to wear it as a set, paired with my favorite summer shoes, my color blocked strappy sandals (also from Zara). The whole outfit just went perfectly with my +RUCKUS accessories (with super colorful fringes) so I had no difficulty at all in the accessorizing area. This is actually an archive post, worn 2 weeks ago (i think) for a lil din-din and movie night (I need to make a mental note to always bring jackets since I freeze inside the theater in outfits like these).

More posts soon! I am back to blogging! Miss you all!

xx
